My Students

Knowledge is the greatest gift one can give. I teach reading and writing to sixth graders in Connecticut. My students are extremely diverse in their abilities, learning and talents. They are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom on a daily basis.

Despite the many challenges they face, they are hard working and eager to learn!

I strive to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences that they can utilize both in and out of the classroom.

My Project

My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in reading. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my students. Students in my classroom need to learn about social issues in real life.

My students enjoy working together in book clubs By having multiple copies of each text, it allows for them to collaborate and be engaged with other peers.

My school media center doesn't have a large collection of books, so I would like to have books will hold their interests and keep them reading in my classroom.
