This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

As a School Social Worker, helping kids during tough times is what I do! This has been a totally unique challenge though, as we are normally face to face for our sessions. I am currently providing teletherapy to several of my students.

My Project

These materials will allow my students to continue their social emotional learning with me during teletherapy. My students look forward to meeting with me virtually each week and these supplies will enable them to work on art therapy projects at home. Art therapy enables me to provide them with familiar social emotional skill building lessons during this unprecedented time. We will utilize the materials to continue learning about being a good friend, following directions, and using appropriate coping skills. Your donation is greatly appreciated during this time and I know my students will be forever grateful.
