My Students

I have amazing students here at D. Mac.A! I love them all so much for so many different reasons! Often, students come to see me and check in and even take a break in a safe place at school. This allows me to build relationships with so many of the students which is what keeps me going every day! :)

Everything I do is for the children: Every chance, Every day, Every child!

The students bring me joy and work so hard at all they do. They want to be successful no matter what and I work to try and help them achieve these goals they set for themselves. I want them to always know they can do it! That they are special! That they are unique! That they have amazing futures ahead of them! They are everything!

My Project

Students have a safe place at school to learn reading, math, science, social studies, the arts....but school helps students learn so much more than just subjects. Students learn to share, get along with others, how to manage feelings when someone does something you don't like, and how to manage the changes life gives you outside of school. Social and Emotional books are great ways for kids to learn skills without always feeling like an adult is telling them. They can read or be read stories that help them learn new skills. Students love to read and be read to and this is a great way to help them learn other skills that are so valuable in life!
