Hite Elementary is an kindergarten through fifth grade school in Louisville, Kentucky. Our students are currently facing unchartered territory. Providing the fundamentals and skill set to help our students maneuver socially, emotionally and academically has never been a more vital part of their development. Our students need resources that allow me to provide a curriculum rich in social skills, offer experiences and time for conversations These resources will foster the need to create classroom communities that are supportive. Establishing a time for social-emotional learning in the classroom setting, provides a safe space for students to authentically connect to themselves and to others as they build social, emotional and academic success skills.
My Project
Our students are faced with new challenges and pressures that are unchartered. Provided the necessary supports on a consistent basis, is vital to the successful development of their social, emotional and academic success.
