Social Emotional Learning Materials for Our First Grade Classroom Family

My students need social and emotional books and other materials for our classroom to help meet the needs of ALL students in our classroom family during circle time on our rug and in our safe place.

My Students

We have 21 fantastic first graders this year in our classroom family. We have 14 girls and 7 boys. They have lots of energy and love to learn new things! The students are working extremely hard on their reading, sight words, writing, and math standards. Wow! They have already made so much progress this year!

I absolutely love watching how much the students learn and grow every day!

We appreciate all of your help and support. You have all made such a huge difference in our educational journey!

My Project

Our school has adopted Conscious Discipline, which is a social emotional framework. I am so excited to implement more strategies and tools into our classroom next year.

I always strive to create a classroom environment where each and every child in our classroom family feels safe, loved, and ready to learn!

Last year, I added a safe place into our classroom where students can go if they need a break or time to work through their emotions and talk about their feelings. We hope to use the rug as a gathering place to have morning meetings, read Shubert's social stories, and continue to build relationships with one another.
