My Students

My students are each unique and special. Our neighborhood school has a little bit of everything for everyone. Our school values good character and we teach students that, as well as our content areas. My students are creative and talented. They are always drawing, building, writing, and pretending. I love to watch them play. It always reveals what they are learning from our lessons together.

My Project

There is no denying that the past two years have been challenging for all. Our littlest learners have shown this immensely. Their social-emotional skills have been greatly impacted during this pandemic. These skills must be taught and practiced in the classroom to create a successful learning environment and successful adults.

These books will provide an opportunity for students to identify themselves and their feelings in a book or character.

Then, we can springboard into a discussion about how those characters overcame, what strategies worked, and how we can help each other.

These books will be some of the most treasured books in our classroom library! Thank you for your consideration.
