My students come from a variety of backgrounds: foster care, difficult home situations, and even low socio-economic levels. I work with all 680+ students at my school to develop positive social skills. I am able to work more closely and regularly with children who have an autism-spectrum disorder, developmental delays, social skills deficits, emotional difficulties, grieving students, and students whose parents are experiencing divorce. My goal is to help provide tools to help these students continue to succeed, despite these challenges!

These books will be used for classroom lessons, small group counseling, individual counseling, and will be available for checkout by teachers, parents, and students! Each book on this list was carefully selected based on its theme in order to help my students learn the important lessons that will help them develop into the best versions of themselves.
The Bad Seed is a story about a child who displays behavior difficulties, and teaches students to look for the good in these types of behaviors.
Even Superheroes Have Bad Days focuses on making good choices even when things go wrong. Many of the stories include the themes of kindness and inclusion, which is so needed in today's world!
