Social & Emotional Health Matters

Help me give my students plenty of activities to improve their social and emotional health. I need a monitor for instruction and plenty of supplies that allow me to facilitate activities for mindfulness and positive social interactions.

My Students

We are the closest-knit school community in the state. Our school serves students from kindergarten thru ninth grade. Our school celebrates history. We have partnered with the community to build a theatre supporting the performing arts.

We have a strong integration between the grades.

We have matched up to our 6th-9th grade classes with buddy classes in the lower grades. Our older students serve, connect, teach and support our younger students. We are strong because we are united.

My Project

Our mental health needs are rising especially among our youth. I am requesting equipment and supplies that will help me address those issues. I will be teaching a mindfulness class. I will use the monitor, office supplies, fidgets, and smooth rocks in my mindfulness classes. The student organization that I advise wants to promote monthly kindness-promoting activities each month. Post-it notes are a quick way to make someone's day when they see a compliment left for them on their desk. We want to create a kindness wall. We want to let our youth know that their social and emotional health is just as important as their academic success.
