Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are unique. They learn in a different manner than most. Some have autism, ADHD, and OHI.

They enjoy school and enjoy learning.

I try to make learning fun and interesting. I am always looking for ways to liven up my students. We also come from a Title I school. 100% of my students come from low income homes.

My Project

My students learn in many different ways. They love to listen to stories on CD. I would like to have them listen to the same book at the same time. However, we have to socially distance at this time.

The Bluetooth headphones will make social distancing possible but continue to provide them with group time.

The books I have chosen are books that their peers are reading in a general education classroom. They like to be able to discuss the story with their peers. Providing them with drastically improves the inclusion they so desire.
