My Students

Our school is located in a suburb just minutes from the city limits of Pittsburgh. Our school is unique because it consists of a mix of suburban and city-born students as well as an influx of international students.

The students in my class are eager to learn and use their skills in and out of the classroom.

We use technology on a daily basis to fuel the 21st-century skills that are needed to be successful in the world today.

My Project

If we were in the classroom, my students would be studying life cycles in Science and in particular the life cycle of the butterfly. Students always look forward to this unit when they come to 2nd grade and with the closure of the schools due to the pandemic, my class is disappointed to miss out on this experience. I am hoping to bring this experience to them on a larger scale by using this grand butterfly habitat to not only show them the life cycle but with the help of the detailed habitat, we will be able to house the butterflies and let the life cycle continue.
