My Project

As one of the School Counselors, I serve over 600 students. Our students are eager to do well but often find themselves being unregulated and unable to use coping skills to help calm down.

One of the ways I strive to help students is daily check-ins/check-outs.

This year the students have daily "tickets" where teachers are able to track behavior throughout the day and I want to be able to reward students with prizes for utilizing their coping skills when they have strong feelings.

Students at Britton are resilient and deserve to be rewarded for their ability to push onward and be a better version of themselves than they were the day before.
