This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My kindergarten class consists of 22 highly energized students who come to school ready to learn each and every day! I absolutely love teaching the littlest minds and creating opportunities for my students to have fun while learning. Our days are filled with interactive, hands-on experiences where they discover and let their imagination and creativity shine. While academic learning is a considerable portion of our day, we also spend significant time teaching social skills, feelings, and emotions.

It's important for children to learn about the various feelings and emotions we all encounter every day.

In our classroom, we currently use the A Little SPOT book series to teach SEL lessons. These books help teach students how to identify their emotions and manage them in a healthy way. Your donations will help build on additional SEL lessons that my students will receive. Supporting these lessons will reinforce stronger communication skills and increase self-awareness, academic achievement, and positive behaviors both in and out of the classroom.
