My Students

Hello! Welcome to our school in Indianapolis, Indiana. My scholars are in fifth grade. We are a neighborhood urban school with many different backgrounds, abilities, and learning styles.

Reading is an essential foundation for life skills!

My students are reading at a level ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade. At our school, we are focusing on guided reading that is essential to building life-long skills in reading, decoding, and understanding various types of text.

Our class could really use your support to help them achieve their life-long goals!

My Project

The prompts will help my students improve their writing skills. The cards will also pair to what they see in their daily life at school, both socially and emotionally.

My students are lacking very important social skills to maintain healthy relationships.

They are more impulsive and reactive than proactive and empathetic to those around them.

Using the growth mindset tool will also help them be okay with failure and that it is only a time where true, genuine learning is about to happen! Growth is critical to progress for a group who is 2-3 grades behind already academically and socially.
