Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students that I work with are learning to control their social and emotional disorders while learning different content at the same time. With your help my students will be able to use these tools and other items to help them feel focused, relaxed, engaged, and motivated to continue learning while managing their social skills and emotions. Some of the items requested, such as the floor lamps, the neon signs, and the fidget spinner tools will be used to help my students focus in a calm learning environment. The speaker will be used with the projector to engage students in interesting topics. The snacks will be used as a positive behavior system to treat students when they are behaving well and engaged in class discussions.

As for the workbooks, these will be used to help further my students' knowledge on their social skills and managing their emotions.

Not only will my students learn how to control their emotions and increase their social skills in my class, but they will be able to use these strategies outside of classroom. The mindset games and arts and crafts will also be incorporated into the learning environment to help make learning fun and engaging.
