This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Being a special education teacher working with special needs students brings a variety of challenges each and every day. One thing that I have noticed this school year is that my children are lacking the understanding of basic social skills. Since most of our children have been at home(due to the pandemic) they have not been exposed to other children and the basics of sharing materials and space. A great way to address these skills are through the use of desirable games. By having the ability to teach these skills in a small group and modeling appropriate play, all children can gain a better understanding of social play.
