Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My wonderful group of students are eager to learn every day. My students are in an urban community where they receive free breakfast and lunch. The majority are English Language Learners and a few qualify to receive bilingual education. A handful receive ELL support within the classroom. I have two students with an IEP. My students enjoy being engaged with visuals, hands-on activities, and music which helps them retain the knowledge.
My school focuses on the three B's: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe to develop our students into future successful citizens.
My Project
My kindergarten students are developing social and emotionally. Play time with these dolls and accessories is crucial for them to develop different interactions and experiences which will help them to understand themselves and others.
My kindergarten students love to play and set up different stories with their characters and these multicultural dolls will provide them the opportunity to create and use their imagination to the fullest.
I purchased a play kitchen with accessories already and so these additional items of children, clothes, and accessories for those children will add another layer to their development. I can't wait to observe the endless possibilities these dolls will provide for my outstanding students.
