This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students at my school are mainly Latinx and they have a deep love for the sport of soccer/futbol. Watching them follow FIFA this last year was so much fun! Sadly, we only have about 5 books in our library on the subject of soccer with the most recent publishing date of 2014. Soccer has changed so much in 6 years and especially in the careers of the top stars. My students need more accurate and update facts on their favorite players as well as the sport. This will also encourage them to read more as it is definitely a subject they love.
