This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach Physical Education to about 500 students in grades Kindergarten-6th grades in Mesa, Arizona. My students that I teach come from a variety of different economic and social backgrounds. They are amazing learners who love to engage in physical activities and work hard to improve their physical fitness levels. They love to play and socialize with their peers, and sports allows students to get to know their peers. I am hopeful to inspire my students to be active every day.

My Project

My students are in need of some quality, reliable soccer goals to be used during recess. Recess is important for building relationships among students, teaching teamwork and cooperation as well as key to creating a positive environment. The students always want to do soccer, but don’t have any goals. We want our students to release their energy and have fun so we can get back to their classroom and focus on learning. Your donation will go to providing them new equipment for their free time. If we can get our own soccer goals it will make recess a more fun and enjoyable time for the kids.
