Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
While working in a low-income school district, I can't help but notice that students don't have the opportunity to have great resources to help them. The students I work within special education need resources to increase their least restrictive learning environment.
My students are creative, energetic, and willing to learn the majority of the time.
My students have a difficult time understanding some content due to their processing and focusing difficulties. They learn best through visual demonstrations. They need resources to help them stay focused and to gain the willingness to learn the science content.
My Project
As our school is growing, our athletics department is growing too. These goals and soccer balls will be used by our small soccer program for years to come. With these materials, we can host practice on our school's campus so more students can attend. We can begin to practice with our goals and soccer balls to prepare for the upcoming fall season.
These goals, soccer balls, and training aides will allow us to get more out of our practices.
Our equipment will be used to increase the skills of our student-athletes and allow us to become more successful in the field.
