Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a wonderful group of energetic students who are full of life. Every day, they work very hard to reach their goals.
My students come from different backgrounds in a Title I school located in South Central Los Angeles.
More than half of my students are from low-income households. My classroom is a melting pot of different cultures. My students are eager to learn and be creative every day. They are sweet, respectful, responsible, kind, happy, and curious students who love to explore the endless possibilities in our classroom. They are amazing kids who deserve the best education. I feel blessed to teach such an amazing group of students. I feel very proud of my students working very hard and trying their best every day.
My Project
Being active is a vital part of healthy development. I want to gear my kids up to continue with their team soccer practice. I truly believe that continuing their soccer practice will help build our community and keep my kiddos mentally and physically sharp.
My young scholars are an active bunch with lots of energy.
While many of our students are staying home during the school closures, they are still working and practicing to remain active and healthy.
I know that a vital part of the sport is conditioning, stretching, and flexibility. These are all things we can practice together through our virtual environment or at home.
I am requesting, soccer balls, practice team jerseys, cones, water, and a practice soccer kit to help enhance focus and flexibility. This will help us coordinate fun and engaging conditioning activities together. This project would provide endless possibilities to prepare for our team soccer matches.
