With our school population of almost 800, 100% of the students are living in apartments. Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with over 85% of our students receiving free lunch. Students have the option to receive free breakfast daily through a program at the school that is open to all students.
Our school has a diverse population of students from various countries who speak a variety of different languages.
Many students will come to our school for the first time and never have learned to speak English. I have assisted our school in providing a variety of resources such as weekend food bags for students, free eye care and exams, dental screenings, a free food pantry, and a clothing closet.
My Project
Having a these balls will help to replace old balls that no longer hold air and to add to our inventory. We use basketballs, volleyballs and soccer balls practically everyday in our gym. I am trying to get a class set.
By donating to our project you will be giving each student an opportunity to have their own ball to play with during classtime.
This will create more opportunity for exercise for all students involved. There will be less line wait while conducting skill drills.
This helps to have all students engaged in the activity while creating more fun and excitement.
