This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a wonderful group of young kiddos that come every day ready to go. They love to be at school and are excited to learn whatever comes at them. Their wonder and imagination takes them on many different journeys.

We live in a rural area that struggles with high poverty and a language barrier, but this has never stopped my kids.

They never give up. They work hard every day to make sure they understand and to reach for their goals!

My Project

Having the set of Kindle Fires will allow for different structures of learning in my classroom and practice of math facts, phonics skills and even handwriting practice. They will be key in giving my students an intriguing way to practice the most fundamental skills they need to go onto other grades. Students will have the opportunity to use the tablets in multiple settings throughout the day.

These tablets are the stepping stone to engaging students in technology and helping them solidify skills for a strong base as they move forward in their education.

As many of my students do not have technology at home, being able to practice using technology and having students gain knowledge at the same time is a huge win for our classroom. My goal is for my students to gain the academics and technology practice to be successful in life no matter what their dreams may be!
