Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. They are eager to learn and wanting to soar in their education. My students are from many backgrounds, as we are a choice school.
My third graders are creative individuals that enjoy stretching their imaginations to go to places they have never been as they get lost in books.
My students enjoy finishing their work early so that they may pull out a book and become lost in their imagination.
My Project
I am asking for 18 books from popular series as well as boxed sets of the Dog Man and Owl Diaries books. These series will help my students learn as they interest children at this age. When a child becomes engulfed in a book, his or her love of reading will grow, thus instilling a love of learning.
If you give a student a book, he or she will want to read another.
Just like the mouse wanting a glass of milk to go with his cookie, students will want another book. Why not help a student to expand their imaginations to soar into a different world? Any book will teach a student or help them become more creative in their own thinking.
