My Students

Our school strives to instill confidence in every student. Every child has the strengths, capabilities, and talents to succeed, but sometimes, they need our help to motivate them and push them toward success. The students in my class are positive, persistent and kind. They all inherently care about each other and strive to give their best every day!

My class consists of 28 bright and patient students.

They all have positive and persistent attitudes and do their best to contribute to our classroom community.

My Project

Books are a great importance for student learning and achievement. Throughout the school year, our class will learn and read along in several books together. These books will be used during our literacy block. Each student will have a personal copy of the book to use during our study and will be able to follow along during read aloud's. I have found that when students hold books in their hands and follow along with the teacher they are more engaged in their learning. The books that have been chosen are meant to be interesting with unfamiliar stories of survival, student bulling, and surprise endings. These stories make for great literary discussions. These book sets include fiction and nonfiction books.

Having such books in our library will help our students practice their reading and learn lots of new information!

These books will also be used in conjunction with our writing units. Having books about a variety of topics will help all of our students, especially those learning English for the first time.
