Do you remember when you were in 5th grade science? Science is supposed to be adventurous and exciting! Children today desire many different ways to learn about similar concepts in Science. The Solar System is exciting for children because it is 'un-known' territory.
My students are amazing on all levels.
They have a wonderful desire to learn and fill their day with the excitement of finding answers, working in groups, completing experiments, and proving their willingness to succeed. Their hunger for learning is nothing but inspiring and motivational for me to be the best teacher I can be for them. They deserve to learn through new and up-to-date materials.
My Project
These resources will provide an up-to-date resource for my students to understand the Solar System and all of the aspects of space. They are excited about this unit and expect to experience many fun activities. I hope to teach this unit through technology, books with beautifully detailed illustrations, and games that provide a fun way to check for understanding.
