I am a fourth grade reading and social studies teacher. My students are passionate about learning and trying to be the best person they can be. Our big goal this year is to have a love for reading. Many of them have gone through a majority of the books I have to offer. If I gave them a chance they would read for a majority of the day. I want them to be able to continue their love of reading.
My Project
The books and chair bands will continue to enhance the student's love for reading. Students have gone through their leveled book bins and my personal library on the blue and read levels! The I can reader set will allow the students to read new exciting books on their level. Every book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. They take these books back and forth between school and home. These books have been chosen with my students in mind. The chair bands will help those students who have trouble focusing on their reading have more focus. They constantly are moving while trying to read. The bands are great for allowing the students to have that movement while they focus on their reading.
With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level.
These items allow the students to have more books to read and allows them to have an easier time focusing. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences.
