This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
This year has been wonderful so far! My students are lovable, funny, hardworking, and very smart! As the year continues, they have taken off in their reading. We have a good library but as they grow as readers, the library must grow as well.
Hard work has paid off for many of them as they soar above their reading level goal.
They are not letting anything stand in their way. I want to give my students a variety of places to escape to, jump in to, and take them on adventures they may never have. Books can do this!
My Project
My students have worked very hard to reach and surpass their reading goals. Many have read most of the books in our library and we are looking for more. Roald Dahl has so many great books in this collection and they are very creative and well written. We have read some in class, but not the books in this bunch. They keep my students engaged and looking towards the next.
They need harder and more interesting books to keep them reading and excited for the next book.
These books will keep them wanting more and lead to even better readers as they finish their 3rd grade year and look forward to 4th. The books in these collections are a wide range of levels that cover most of my students as they progress through the year.
