Our program is a county program that supports students in a sub-separate classroom setting. Our school is high-poverty and has limited supplies to offer our classrooms. Our students work best when structure is provided in their daily lives by creating visuals, schedules, and routines along with direct individual support. Many of the students in our class are working on life skills, daily living skills, functional academics, behavior, and communication.
All students can learn!
It may not be the same way as others learn, but ALL are capable of learning.
My Project
My students struggle with concepts and tasks that most take for granted. They need extra practice in a wide variety of modes in order to be successful at mastering a skill. Using tools like hot dots will give my students another means to practice some very important life skills.
My students will be able to use these hot dots to master skills that are needed in everyday life.
By giving my students alternate ways to practice necessary skills, they will be more engaged and eager to practice skills that are otherwise very difficult for them to perform. Thank you for your support
