So We Want To Be Scientists!

My students need display boards, science fair books, & more supplies in order to be able to properly display the science projects that they complete for our Science Fair.

My Students

HELP! We love science and want to try our hand at science fair projects. Many of my class' parents have limited incomes and paying for materials for a Science Fair Project is a hardship. Also, sometimes it's hard to come up with quick and easy ideas for those projects. You will help us succeed.

About 90% of the students in my school are receiving free or reduced lunches.

Many of my students live in single-parent families or are being raised by grandparents or another family member. Parent involvement varies widely from student to student. Many parents want to help but don't have the ability or time to give their children the help they need. I want to encourage the students to explore their interest in science and give them a way to show what they've learned where they are all on an even playing field.

My Project

The Science Fair Project books I requested will be used to assist students and parents in finding a project to pursue. These resources can be used over again in the years to come. It is amazing to see the excitement when a student finds "their" project! The books I chose usually call for household items to complete the project, so that they are easy and inexpensive to complete. The materials I requested will allow the students to complete and display their findings after they perform their experiments. Each child will have the same supplies and no children will be left out. It is exciting to hand these supplies to the parents who are relieved that we have made it possible and easier for them to help their kids.

The Science Fair is always a fun and educational project for my school.

It is an activity that requires collaboration with student, parent, and teacher. My class will learn about the scientific method and the process required to create a good project. My desire is to entice these future scientists, doctors, astronauts, etc. into a more inspired look at Science and their future.
