My project needs musical instruments, tapes, headsets, a cd/tape player, and a microphone.
This project expired on April 30, 2008.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My favorite question to all who have power is.....WHERE'S The Music?
I am a kindergarten teacher at an inner city school who lost the funding for music. I feel without it there's no balance. Children in the early stages of development should be exposed to several genres of music, and I propose to expose the children in my classroom to a vast array of music by creating MUSIC ON WHEELS.
Yes this is a musical center that will be integrated into our daily routine. This mobile music center will put music at their finger tips, and help them to learn several types of music. The classroom instruments will bring the music to life and give them the opportunity to express them selves creatively and increase listening skills.
PLEASE afford us the opportunity to experience stories painted with sounds, and balance the scales at a school that otherwise would be deprived of the songs of life, and that is to be learned from a musical experience. Where's the Music? Well, with your help, the music would always be a part of our kindergarten classroom!
