My Students

This is my second year teaching and I must say that, so far, this journey has been nothing short of amazing! I have truly found my passion in educating our unique and gifted population.

My students are creative, tenacious, thoughtful, inspiring, and have a strong desire to learn.

They come to school each day ready to learn and work hard to achieve their goals.

My students enjoy hands-on, engaging activities that challenge them and allow them to work together. They appreciate when they are given freedom of choice in the classroom. They strive to meet rising expectations and excel when given the chance to showcase their capabilities and demonstrate their originality and independence.

They enjoy participating in learning opportunities that allow them to show off their talents! My students participate in reading challenges, Breakout EDU challenges, project-based learning opportunities, STEAM challenges, as well as school-wide activities, including the school music and talent show. They motivate and encourage one another to take chances and try new things.

My Project

I would like to continue adding books to our classroom library. These books will enhance our classroom library and provide opportunities for students to read quality and inspiring literature. These books are relevant and engaging to young readers, even the most reluctant of readers. The wide variety of books will add to our classroom library and give all students the opportunity to pick a book they are interested in reading. These books will be used during independent reading as well as whole group instruction to teach various reading skills and strategies.

One book can change a life.

I would love for that connection to be made within the walls of our classroom.
