Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school has bright, invigorating, enthusiastic learners who have a yearning to learn about many topics. However, students in our school face many struggles outside of the classroom in their lives and at home. Still, teachers work hard to create a loving, caring, and safe environment for them in the classroom and now we want to go a step further.
The students work hard day in and day out to satisfy their hunger for learning and succeeding at challenges in and out of the class.
With help from wonderful donors, we can create a suitable environment to meet their specific needs outside the classroom to help them inside it.
My Project
Our classroom needs new and fresh reading and math stations doneso through OSMO kits. The materials included in this project will allow me to freshen and reinvigorate our work stations in class. In our literacy station all our books need to be leveled and organized for better use in our classroom, which will be done with a label maker.
In math stations my students will be exploring the skill of financial literacy, place value and composing and decomposing numbers.
OSMO can give us a great leap of knowledge in all those skills with their interactive numbers game and pizza co. game. With both these game it allows the student to run a station all about financial literacy and sharpen those skills in a interactive way.
