This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I ask them, "What's gonna work?" and they reply, "Teamwork!" I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything. This creates a sense of community in the classroom.
The students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with over 96% of our students receiving free lunch.
Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful students and adults.
My Project
The materials will make a difference in my students' learning because we will focus on proper hygiene routines such as hand washing, face washing, and keeping the classroom clean.
The wipes will assist the students in learning about the parts of their body such as hands, face, nose, ears, neck, and elbows.
It will also teach my students about spatial relation words such as in between, above, below, etc.
My classroom is filled with students that are ready to learn, and I need to ensure they and their classroom are clean throughout the day.
