Each day, I welcome approximately 50 bright, smiling middle school students. None can be defined by one general description. Each of the students possesses unique qualities that are visible through their actions, words, and abilities. The majority of my students are from low-income, non-traditional homes. This, however, does not stop their love of learning.
Being a teenager is hard.
The middle school age is such an important stage in life, one that seems can make or break you. They are stuck between needing assistance and the ideal that they are completely independent. They are beginning to become the individuals that they are meant to be while still holding onto the self that they have always been. And can we mention the hormones?!?
My Project
With the funding of this project, each of my students will receive a personalized bag of the necessary toiletries, as well as proper and discreet assistance from me at school.
Middle school and adolescence is tough to navigate.
I am hoping to help make it as successful as possible. One way is to provide individual care bags of products so that the students will have access to the proper hygiene products. This will ensure that they have access to proper hygiene; whether they take it home or leave it at school. For this project, I have also included a first aid kit, sanitary pads, and a manicure kit so that I may assist them at school.
