Help me give my students seat pockets to keep their materials in a safe place, off the ground so DeafBlind students don't trip over them and a device for the laptop to be able to perform video editing!

My Students

I teach Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing middle school students who use American Sign Language as their primary mode of communication. We are a bilingual school, so all instruction is taught both in English and American Sign Language.

These kids are great, and I am not just saying that!

They come from all over the world, many from refugee camps, first generation Americans, first generation Deaf, and truly pioneers. They are a family to one another. They're kind, loving, smart, and all around great people.

My Project

The seat pockets will give students a secure place to store their classroom materials including Chromebooks, notebooks, folders, etc. DeafBlind kids keep tripping over materials that are placed on the floor and this creates a safety hazard.

The laptop adapter allows me to create more content for my students by video editing, but I cannot connect all items I need to my laptop right now because it is limited to two USB-C ports and I need USB and USB-C ports to be able to use a mouse and external monitor.
