Snuggling Up With a Good Book

Help me give my students a sectional set and sofa set for a lounging area for their book nook! My students would love to snuggle up with a good book on this couch set!

My Students

I work in a Title I school where all students receive free breakfast and lunch daily. I have 14 students in my 1st grade classroom, of which I have 5 on IEP's and 3 more on SAT plans. Most of my students come from families that are single parent, or where the grandparents are struggling to raise their grandkids due to one or both parents being incarcerated.

My students LOVE to read!

This project is all about them feeling comfortable.

My Project

This couch set and sectional set will set my book nook apart from anything that I have ever tried in my classroom. My students currently use carpet tiles and laundry baskets to provide them space to read.

This couch set and sectional set will bring a sense of comfort to my book nook.

Students will want to be in that area to read a book. My students will feel welcomed into an area that they may not have gone to in the past because it was not inviting enough.

This project will only further the interest many of my students have in reading and will invite those who are not comfortable to give it a try!
