My Students

Our school is in a rural area where many students don't have access to extracurricular activities outside of school. Our kiddos love coming to school!

My third-graders are a fun, energetic group of kids!

They are very clever, creative, and motivated to learn. They like to move, they love to read and love lots of hands-on activities to keep them excited about learning.

I try to make my classroom as comfortable and inviting as possible so that my students stay engaged and excited about being here.

My Project

My class consists of a largely diverse group of learners. Many of my students are special needs, while others are on advanced levels of academic achievement. We have flexible seating in our classroom to give the kids a chance to make themselves comfortable and find a space where they learn best. Since all of my students are unique, I feel that their learning spaces should be individualized for them. Right now, we use wobble chairs, stadium seating, and wobble balls in our classroom.

This area rug would allow me to re-arrange my classroom into a more comfortable environment and would provide my students with another place to get comfy during our instructional time!

Some of my students like to sit or lie down on the floor while working, and a new rug would definitely make that easier for them.
