My students need a new whole group carpet to replace our existing one, that is worn and dirty.

I teach an amazing group of Pre-K students! They are the reason I look forward to each day. Their energy is contagious, and they always manage to keep me entertained throughout the day. Our school is a Title One school. The poverty level in our county enables ALL of our students receive 100% free breakfast and lunch.
Many of our student's and families live in moderate to severe poverty, but you wouldn't know it by their enthusiasm!
The students in our classroom are ages 4 and 5. They are dreamers, deep thinkers, big talkers, and unlimited questioners. They are mini inspirations to everyone around them, even if they don't know it yet. They are architects, computer technologist, scientists, entrepreneurs, teachers, chefs, veterinarians, doctors, and the list goes on. They are our future and I want to give them a great start to their lifelong of learning.
I chose this rug because it fits the layout of our room. We currently have a rectangular carpet, and that works very well in our room. This rug is bright and colorful, which will help the room look warm and inviting to our students.
We meet on the carpet for so many activities throughout the day, so it is a very important part of our classroom.
We have story time, whole group math and literacy, music and yoga on our rug. So it is no wonder that after 6 years it is looking rough. I have steam cleaned it twice, but it really needs replacing. I noticed what looked to be mold growing on the underside of the rug, which I know can really make us all sick. We all want our classroom to be clean and healthy, and a new rug will help make this happen!
