My students need a colorful and inviting place to gather for fabulous learning experiences throughout the day! We need a rug.

My Students

Working in a School of Leadership, I always try to instill in my students a sense of self pride and community awareness. This class is no exception! They work very hard at doing their best each and every day by learning about and living with the 7 Habits. Since we are an arts and technology school of choice filled strictly by a lottery process, my students come from all sorts of different socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds. It is a joy to watch them interact with each other and learn and grow from what each of them has to bring to the table!

My Project

My students need a new classroom rug to give them a comfy, cozy space to gather and learn. The carpet that we have now has become worn, faded, and torn after over fifteen years of use in our kindergarten classroom! Each day we come together on the floor to meet and greet each other with songs, rhymes, and a morning meeting message. This space is also used throughout the day for many other activities, including Interactive Shared Reading, Math Circle Time, and various learning centers. How great it would be for my students to have a fresh new carpet to meet on to make their daily learning experiences more comfortable and productive!
