Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

Our school is located on the corner of 71st and Rhodes Avenue. 90% of the students come from low-income families. I am the lead literacy teacher for grades 4-8. I would like to take digital snapshots of positive things that occur around the school for a Digital Photo Album of the staff and students. Our students are involved in programs such as assemblies, student of the month, science fairs and young authors. I would like to display a digital photo album of these activities. The materials needed are a digital camera, photo paper for printing digital pictures. It will promote a positive self-image among our students to see themselves doing good in the school community.
