I work with a variety of students in grades kindergarten through fifth grades. Our school strives to create a community of motivated learners who love to attend school and take joy in learning.
Diversity is the backbone of our school.
Students come from a variety of economic backgrounds, and they are a diverse group of learners. Our school serves students K-5 and is a positive, safe place for students and teachers to learn. We provide breakfast for all of our students in order to get their day started on the right foot. Many of the students receive free lunch each day and a backpack of food each weekend. Our teachers and staff work tirelessly to ensure our students have whatever they need to be successful. We have a high population of English Language Learners and a large percentage of economically disadvantaged students. Our community is supportive and is a large part of our success.
I am requesting forty Snap and Slide Number Bonds so that the students in my school have an engaging way to practice their addition. Students need to know all of the addition facts to 10 and 20, and these snap and slide number bonds are a fun way to practice.
Addition facts are a foundation for many other aspects of math.
We know that these facts are critical to student success with two- and three-digit addition, and multiplication. Success in math is also a part of other areas, such as science. However, math can sometimes seem boring or challenging to students. These tools provide some excitement to learning. Help the students of my school learn their facts.
