This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Existing document projectors that cost $600 to $800 dollars provide low resolution images, and are poor at video projection. With this camera, I can build my own projector system that will provide high quality projected images of model dissections and documents.

My students are eager to learn, and with limited resources, they need to be able to clearly see demonstrations (such as dissections and lab demonstrations), or documents, books, and printed images.

Our public school is a leader in a reform model, and I believe in hands-on Science education.

My Project

We need a Pentax H90 Digital Camera which will allow me to project high quality video images onto the class screen. This will allow the best use of limited resources so that all students can clearly see demonstrations and materials, especially when there may not otherwise be enough for each student.

This one tool, when I use it to build my own document projector system will allow me to make better use of all of my classroom resources, and will enhance learning on a daily basis.

The camera will also allow me to record labs and lessons so that students can watch them again later.
