My Students

Our students are an enthusiastic group who bounce through the school doors each morning with excitement and vigor and keep us on our toes! They are looking to be challenged, surprised and entertained every day. Their combination of energy, culture, compassion, and thirst for knowledge inspire the teachers at our school on a daily basis.

Remarkably, our students exhibit these hopeful and inquisitive personalities in spite of the challenges they face at home.

Students and their families face a daily struggle for survival in a big city.

My Project

After years of taking pictures of my students inside the classroom, at school events and on field trips, it has never been more clear how important these memories are to my students (and parents!). Kids spend the most amount of their lives in school so it should be remembered!

Many students do not have pictures of themselves to help them remember important events or memories.

These Polaroids would give them an instant "pop" of happiness. Students will be able to show family and friends places they've gone with their class, experiments done with classmates or giving a presentation. They will be able to show off their proud, funny or unusual moments or experiences.
