Snacks, Treats, and Water for Productive Math Students
Help me give my students snacks, treats and a water pitcher to keep them alert and motivated throughout the school day and tutorials! Additionally, scented air wicks are needed to keep our room smelling fresh throughout the day.
I teach Algebra I, AP Statistics, and One Goal College Support at a Title I high school in Atlanta, GA. It is my first year working with the Atlanta Public School system, but I know I have found my home.
My students have wonderful personalities but need a confidence boost and extra support to be successful in math this year.
I know they want to and will succeed this year, so I am reaching out for help with classroom supplies, materials, and experiences to further engage their minds.
My Project
It is that time of the year again and we are beginning a new school year 2019-2020!
Please help donate to our snacks, treats, water, and air wicks fund for keeping my math students motivated and engaged in fun mathematics games and review sessions!
High school students spend most of their day inside the classrooms and some extra food or a sweet treat every now and then is a great way to keep them engaged and energetic for efficient learning. We need a water pitcher in our classroom to minimize hall pass usage. And air wicks will keep the room smelling fresh.
Many students also stay after school for help on assignments and you have no idea how far even a small piece of candy and refreshing water will go to help them have the energy to do rigorous math!
