As a teacher in a high poverty school district, I work with students that are faced with challenges in and outside the classroom. Despite the challenges my students face, they persevere. My students are high energy, communicative, and enthusiastic learners. They have a lot of energy and are always looking for a fun way to learn. They love to get involved with the lesson in whatever way possible.
My students love to show off their work and teach their peers.
They are excited to teach each other, both in groups and in front of the class. My students are visual learners. They love to use different resources in the room to show learning strategies to their friends. The students are a great group of mathematicians, scientists, writers, and artists.
My Project
Snack is a really important time during my students day. It is a time for them to get something to eat while they wait for lunch. Having a snack fuels my students and gets them ready for the second half of the morning. Although some of my students are able to bring a snack from home not all students are.
Having snacks readily available in the classroom will allow students to have a snack not only at snack, but when they need it.
Having snacks in the classroom will ensure that all students that enter my room will be able to have a snack.
