My students have disabilities and live in poverty. Each child is unique and brings a smile to my face for a different reason. I try to teach them every day that they can accomplish ANYTHING that they put their minds to! They struggle with behaving in school, low self-esteem, following expected social norms, forming friendships, and keeping up with academics.
I teach at a Title I school where over 60% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
They are still hungry throughout the day, and I provide them snacks so they can focus a little longer on their school work. We appreciate you looking at our project!
My Project
Many of my students have experienced trauma in their lives. Over 60% of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch. Even though they get breakfast and lunch at school, they still struggle with hunger. They are constantly asking for snacks and food.
My students are hungry all throughout the day.
I am asking for snacks that I can supply them in between classes so that they can eat and then focus on academics. Before they can focus on school, they need their bellies to be full. Thank you for considering donating to our classroom! My students and I appreciate you looking at our project.
