Students of my 2nd Grade class are bright, caring and respectful children who come to school every day with the desire to learn. Many of these students come from a variety of backgrounds and diverse economic status'. The majority of our school population receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch. Our school runs a food pantry for the families, and some children take home backpacks every Friday packed with food for the weekend.
Our mission this year has been to complete 100 Random Acts of Kindness.
I am extremely proud of my class as they have hit that goal and continue to donate good deeds all around our school and community. The most popular generous act chosen by many students has been to donate their time by reading to a younger grade.
These students are passionate for learning but even more passionate to help others in need!
My Project
All children learn better when their stomachs are full. Here at our school, we focus on giving every student the opportunity to come to school feeling full and ready to learn. We send food-filled backpacks home with children in need of extra support. Backpacks are supplied with meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Through kind and generous donations, we can meet our goal!
Help us keep the wheels moving with this project and donate to a great cause. Your donations will be used to purchase Pepperidge Farm Goldfish for snacks. No child deserves to be without food or without an education. Together we can give these caring students what they need.
