This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 4th graders work hard. They come to school every day ready to learn. One of the things my students need to keep this motivation going is snacks. Snacks are essential to any 4th graders' day. They are growing children with big appetites, and oftentimes, many of them come to school without eating breakfast. To ensure my students have the energy to learn, I have snacks that are available to them on a daily basis. This does not mean candy (although they would love that). I try to keep a supply of healthier snacks such as those in the variety pack I am using for. This includes crackers, Cheez-Its, and Goldfish. These types of snacks and the Annie's bunnies often give my students the energy they need to participate, complete assignments, and feel good as they learn during math and ELA. My students' attitudes improve when they have a little something to eat, especially because lunch is many hours away. In addition, my students need Kleenex and disposable face masks. I do my best to help prevent the spread of germs in my class to ensure students are in school and learning every day. They wear the masks as they work together in teams, and they use Kleenex throughout the day. Lastly, Swiffer floor wipes and dusters keep our room clean when we have spills and when things get covered in dust. This helps my students who have allergies.
