My Students

I am a special education teacher at an elementary school in Seattle, Washington. My students are in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade, they are eager to learn, thoughtful, and love hands-on, engaging learning! The students in my class struggle with math and reading. They learn best when they are having fun playing games. In our classroom, after we complete our work, we like to play educational games to reinforce what we just learned. In our classroom, we meet each student where they are. We use a variety of teaching tools, methods such as small group learning and seating options in our classroom to ensure that the student's needs are met. I am so lucky and thankful to be part of this elementary school and be the teacher of these wonderful students. We thank you very much for helping to support our classroom!

My Project

The students in my class are from low-income households and are often hungry. We would greatly appreciate your help in supplying our classroom with some snacks. The students ask for snacks daily. Having a snack makes it easier for them to learn and concentrate on their work. When they are given a snack they are not worrying about when they get to eat lunch, they are able to focus on their work. Thank you for helping our class get some individually wrapped snacks that the students like. We really appreciate your generosity!
