Snacks Help Students Feel Both Nourished and Loved!
Help me give my students the snacks and brain fuel needed to feel satisfied and cared for at school so that they concentrate on their learning and mostly so that they can know they are loved.
My students are warm, caring, and have the biggest, loving hearts. The students I serve are third-grade elementary level students who have many reasons for needing extra care academically, socially, and physically. Our school does not currently have any PTO volunteers to help us raise funds. The students (96%) at our school are at the poverty level. A good portion of my classroom students are also students with special learning needs. I often choose to use my own money to pay for the supplies and snacks for the daily snacks for our entire classroom. I believe the snacks are vital to supplying my students not only with nourishment but also with a feeling of caring, and comfort which is a secret key to our success each day. This project is for much-needed snacks to help me get the items I need to keep my student's basic needs to be met so that they can focus on learning.
Our students will be happy to know that we care about them and that the basic needs to help them feel cared for and safe in their classroom will be met.
My Project
Students who come to school need to feel safe, cared for and all too often, they need to be fed, to have their basic needs, met. That is the reality we as teachers face each and every day. This is a project that I am continuing throughout the year and they take a while to get fully filled, for this reason, once a project gets filled I will post for the next wish list.
Please consider helping me give students what they need to feel both nourished and loved during their time at school.
I truly believe that having snacks for them each day helps them to know that they are loved and cared for. Some of my students are very hungry during the day and if providing them with snacks is what they need, then that is what I think we should give them. I have requested crackers, fruit snacks, cereal, pretzels and more.
